I have a Thing for the current Fusion. It's a Daily Driver Delight (tm).

If I needed to buy a new car, it would be either an Audi A4 or a Ford Fusion 2.0 EcoBoost.

Dat Focus ST engine

That is so weird, because I've had almost exactly the same thought. When driving a Fusion 2.0 EcoBoost, I've often thought, "man, this is like a poor man's Audi."
I suspect the parts are cheaper, too. :-)

My father used to have a Benz sedan (not a C class) before the Fusion. He likes the Fusion more.

I've also recently become obsessed with the SHO for some reason.

I used to drive a Benz. What's funny is the top three for my next car are either E-Class Benz, Fusion, or Focus ST.
I know, right?

In the same line, my uncle owned a long string of Mercedes since the '80s and traded his last ML in on a Lincoln MKX. Was amazed at how much less he spent on maintenance and repairs and how much less time in the shop, and traded his wife's Benz in on a Taurus. Says they're the most reliable cars he's had in about 20 years.

I don't like the Taurus. I don't see the point.

No one does. But that's why it's interesting.

yes it is. I have a 1.6L Ecoboost Fusion with the 18" wheel package and it handles like a dream. the 1.6 is powerful enough for my needs put if it was to do again I would get the 2.0L. At the time of purchase there was not one 2.0 fusion with the options I wanted in Canada so I had to get the 1.6L. I've had it for a year now and I'm still really happy with it. Would definitely recommend.

Right? I've put about 5,000 miles on a Titanium 2.0, and have to say I've really enjoyed it. The fuel economy is nothing to write home about, but otherwise it's pretty satisfying. Part of it is I just fit in it...could drive that things for hours.
